A synced copy for questions, the API for changes

  • Most questions skip the live API

    Your AI's questions run as SQL on the copy in Peliqan's data warehouse. Only a few live lookups, such as one invoice by number, call Fortnox.

  • Changes go through writeback

    When your AI updates an invoice or makes another change, Peliqan sends it straight to Fortnox's API, and the synced copy catches up at the next sync. Your AI app never sees your Fortnox login.

  • Answers as fresh as the last sync

    Peliqan syncs Fortnox into the data warehouse on a schedule, so answers reflect the last sync.

What is a Fortnox MCP server?
It is a Model Context Protocol server that lets AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini answer questions about your Fortnox data and, if you allow it, update invoices and make other changes. Peliqan runs one for you, so there is nothing to install or host.
Does Fortnox have its own MCP server?
We found none from Fortnox itself as of October 2026. Several other companies offer one, such as Nordsynk and Weavio, and they focus on Fortnox. Fortnox itself is rolling out an AI assistant inside its app during 2026, not an MCP server. Peliqan's Fortnox MCP also covers 300+ other apps in the same server.
How do I connect Fortnox to Claude or ChatGPT?
Start a free trial on Peliqan, click Connect Fortnox, sign in and allow access. You can connect with a user account or a service account. Then add https://mcp.peliqan.io/mcp as a custom connector in your AI app and sign in to Peliqan. In ChatGPT, custom connectors need a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.
Which Fortnox data can the AI see?
Invoices and payments, customers, suppliers and supplier invoices, accounts, vouchers and financial years, offers, orders and price lists, articles and stock, projects, cost centers and expense codes, and employees with salary, absence and attendance transactions, synced into Peliqan's data warehouse.
Can the AI change records in Fortnox?
Yes. Your AI can update invoices, such as due dates, payment terms, references and comments, and make other Fortnox API calls. Most AI apps, such as Claude and ChatGPT, ask you to approve a change before it runs. Writeback is on by default, and one switch per connection makes it read-only.
Will AI questions hit Fortnox's API limits?
Mostly not. Questions run as SQL on the synced copy in Peliqan's data warehouse, not on Fortnox's API. Only the scheduled syncs, a few live lookups and the changes your AI makes call Fortnox.
Is my Fortnox data secure?
Peliqan is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and hosted on AWS in Frankfurt. Peliqan holds the Fortnox login, so your AI app never sees it.
What does it cost?
Peliqan MCP costs €15 per connection per month, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. There is no charge per user, but each connection belongs to one user.
