Consultants and service companies often run data projects for several end customers at once. With a partner account you can use Peliqan as the data platform behind that work: a separate sub-account per customer, your own set of connectors, and your own branding on top.
How to set up a customer data platform
- 1Configure your instance. In the Admin section, under Partner Settings, set up your own instance of Peliqan – including which connectors are available to your customers.
- 2Create a sub-account per customer. Manage them in the Customers section. Always keep one sub-account per end customer: it is what stops one customer’s data being mixed with another’s. Customers can also sign up themselves through a signup page.
- 3Work inside a sub-account. Use Login As to enter a customer sub-account and manage their connections, scripts and pipelines on their behalf. Switch back to your parent account when you are done.
- 4Invite the customer to connect their own systems. When you do not have their credentials, pick the connector – Exact Online, for example – and send an invite by email instead of authorizing it yourself. They get a secure one-time link and authorize without logging into Peliqan, and you get an email when the connection is ready. It works with any connector, including direct database connections.
- 5Put your brand on it. Peliqan can be fully white-labeled: your own domain or subdomain, logo, images and colour scheme, so customers log in to your branded data cloud.
