How it works

A synced copy for questions, the API for changes

  • Most questions don't use your API calls

    Most questions run as SQL on the copy in Peliqan's data warehouse, so they don't count toward Uniconta's daily API calls. A few live lookups call the API.

  • Changes go back through writeback

    When your AI creates or updates a record, generates an invoice or posts a journal, Peliqan sends it to Uniconta's API, within your own access rights.

  • Answers as fresh as the last sync

    Peliqan syncs Uniconta into the data warehouse on a schedule, so answers reflect the last sync. Changes your AI makes go to Uniconta straight away and show in the copy after the next sync.

What is a Uniconta MCP server?
It is a Model Context Protocol server that lets AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini read your Uniconta data and make changes in it, such as creating customers, suppliers and orders or posting journals. Peliqan runs one for you, so there is nothing to install or host.
Does Uniconta have its own MCP server?
Uniconta announced an upcoming MCP server in October 2026, planned for its version 96. It has not published a release date yet. Peliqan's Uniconta MCP works today, and it also covers your bank, billing and 300+ other apps in the same server.
How do I connect Uniconta to Claude or ChatGPT?
Start a free trial on Peliqan and connect Uniconta with the login of a Uniconta server user. Then add https://mcp.peliqan.io/mcp as a custom connector in your AI app and sign in to Peliqan. In ChatGPT, custom connectors need a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.
Can the AI create or change records in Uniconta?
Yes. Your AI can create, update and delete debtors (customers), creditors (suppliers), orders, inventory items and contacts. It can also create and update projects and ledger accounts, create purchase orders and employees, simulate and generate invoices, and check and post journals. Most AI apps, such as Claude and ChatGPT, ask you to approve a change before it runs. Every write runs with your own Uniconta access rights. Writeback is on by default, and one switch per connection makes it read-only.
Will AI questions use up Uniconta's API calls?
Mostly not. Uniconta's standard package includes 5,000 API calls a day, and Uniconta slows calls down above that. Most questions run as SQL on the synced copy in Peliqan's data warehouse. Only the syncs, a few live lookups and the changes your AI makes call Uniconta's API.
Is my Uniconta data secure?
Peliqan is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and hosted on AWS in Frankfurt. Peliqan holds the Uniconta login, so your AI app never sees it, and the AI can never do more than your own Uniconta user is allowed to do.
What does it cost?
Peliqan MCP costs €15 per connection per month, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. There is no charge per user, but each connection belongs to one user.
