Peliqan

Job opening: Marketing lead

Ghent · Full-time · Hybrid

About Peliqan

Peliqan helps growing companies run on a single source of truth. We connect the systems a business runs on (CRM, ERP, finance, support, operations) and we turn scattered app data into one governed model that BI, reporting, and AI can rely on.

The reason this matters more every month: AI can now reach into your apps, but it still can’t understand your business. A connector gives an AI access to HubSpot. Peliqan gives it an understanding of how the company actually works across HubSpot, Exact Online, Odoo, and everything else. Access is becoming a commodity. A trustworthy view of the business is not. That is the layer we own.

Why we’re hiring

We have 100+ partners and customers serving 3000+ companies with Peliqan. We have genuine traction, and we are in need to further sharpen our story. Today we sell to large accountancy firms, PE-backed groups, tech teams, ERP partners, and enterprises. We’re defining a clear, less technical “Trust layer for AI” offering, on top of a deeply technical platform.

We’re not looking for someone to run a plan we’ve already written, because we haven’t written it yet. We’re looking for the person who finds the message that resonates, proves it in the funnel, and builds the engine that scales it. You’ll own marketing end to end and lead the function. You report to the founders and work closely with sales and product.

How we think about the role

This is a hands-on, build-it-yourself role, not a brief-an-agency one. AI has changed the work: the repetitive production is increasingly automated, and the value now sits in judgment, distribution, and a point of view worth paying attention to. We want someone who already works this way, reaches for AI by default, and is glad to run our own product to keep marketing on one source of truth.

What you’ll own

Performance marketing and demand generation. The full funnel, from traffic to qualified pipeline. Paid acquisition led by Google Ads, plus the channels that prove their worth. You set the targets, read the numbers honestly, and put budget behind what converts.

SEO and GEO. Ranking on Google and showing up correctly when LLMs answer. For a company whose whole pitch is making AI trustworthy, being legible to AI search is part of the product story, not a nice-to-have.

Website. Yours to own and keep improving, hands on the page rather than briefing someone else for every change.

Brand and positioning. Sharpening who we serve and why we win, then holding that line consistently everywhere. This is the hardest and most valuable part of the job.

Content and social. A content engine built for real output without losing the voice, with LinkedIn as the first priority and a genuine point of view behind every post.

AI-driven marketing operations. Workflows that take the manual load off the team: competitor tracking, lead enrichment, ICP signal mining, customer-research synthesis. You’ll also be our first serious internal user of Peliqan for marketing, unifying funnel, CRM, and campaign data into one view you can actually trust and pointing AI at it.

What we’re looking for

Track record over tenure. We care more about what you’ve shipped than how many years are on your CV: a funnel you built, a brand you grew, campaigns that returned, manual work you replaced with a workflow.

  • AI-native in practice, not in theory. Fluent with the current models (Claude, GPT, Gemini) and confident building real workflows with them. You can walk us through something you built and what it produces week to week.
  • A strong writer with a sharp editorial eye. When volume is cheap, the judgment of what’s actually good is what sets you apart.
  • Numbers-literate. You can stand up a funnel, read it without kidding yourself, and name the metric that matters this week.
  • Hands-on across the stack (Google Ads, HubSpot, modern SEO and GEO tooling). You do the work rather than outsource it.
  • A generalist who moves between paid, content, website, and automation in the same week.
  • At ease with ambiguity. Our ICP isn’t locked and the category is still forming. That should energize you, not unsettle you.
  • B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred, with a bonus for anything technical, data, finance, or built for operators.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and/or French a clear plus given our home market.
  • Based in Belgium and able to work hybrid from our Ghent office.

Why join

  • Real ownership. You build the brand and the story rather than inherit them, and every campaign shows up on real customers from week one.
  • A problem worth solving. Making AI trustworthy for real businesses is one of the bigger opportunities in software right now, and you’d be the one telling that story.
  • Direct line to the founders and room to grow into a senior leader as we scale across Europe.
  • MacBook, iPhone, healthcare plan, ESOP, meal vouchers, mobility budget or car, a nice office in Ghent, and regular team events.
