Peliqan is an all-in-one cloud data platform with ELT pipelines, built-in data warehouse, Reverse ETL, data apps and AI. We are a fast-growing scale-up, on a mission to reinvent how companies work with data. We currently have offices in Ghent, Belgium and in Bengaluru, India.

For our offices in Ghent, Belgium, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Customer Success team. You will work as a Consultant to help our end-customers in setting up their data projects in Peliqan. This includes setting up and managing pipelines, implementing data transformations in SQL, scripting custom pipelines and interactive data apps in Python, troubleshooting API connectors and much more.

The ideal candidate has experience with data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, Reverse ETL as well as strong technical and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure that your deliveries meet the requirements of our customers.

Your responsibilities

• As a member of the Customer Success team, you will work directly with end-customers. This includes organizing calls with customers, doing project management, reporting progress and maintaining an open communication line with customers.
• You will assist in setting up pipelines, troubleshooting API errors, optimizing our connectors, pro-actively acting on pipeline errors etc.
• You will write complex SQL queries to combine, clean and unify data from different sources for Peliqan’s end-customers.
• You will write Python scripts to automate certain aspects of data pipelines and to implement interactive data apps.
• You will work on Reverse ETL projects (data syncs).
• You will write documentation on the implemented data pipelines and data apps.
